CROSS HOLLOW STAKE YOUTH CONFERENCE, AT MOUNT PLEASANT UTAH 2011
Brother and Sister Black and Brother and Sister Halladay, along with Alex Halladay were so excited to be a part of something so important as bringing the youth of the Cross Hollow Stake together for a 3 day adventure
... to learn about the 13th article of faith,
to help them to “login” to the meaning behind each word,
to help them learn to “seek good things”
to get “followers” the right way,
to learn what it truly means to “believe hope and endure.”
We wanted you to feel the spirit of the Manti Temple and how the actors in the pageant love to spread the gospel in their own way,
how it brings a town together the way the Savior would want ,
and what examples they can be to us to not be afraid of what we “believe.”
We wanted you to be on a beautiful campus where you can feel our Saviors love for you.
We wanted you to learn about Paul and why Joseph Smith quoted him in the 13th article of faith,
where he said, “we follow the admonition of Paul,”

We truly should be “seeking after these things”
he taught us to be “doing good to all men,” we should serve one another and be examples to one another!

Why the saying on the shirts? “Come follow me?”
We wanted you to learn that Paul, whose name was “Saul” wasn’t a very good guy at first, but as he was on the road to Damascus to bring harm the Saints of Jesus Christ after Christ death was visited instead by Jesus himself. Jesus chastised him for what he was doing and Paul repented and had a change of heart!
He spent the rest of his life “getting followers to follow what Jesus Christ taught”
We can get followers and we can follow others…are they taking us where we need to go? Are we taking people where we need to be taking them?
Paul taught the people to “seek after good things,” Remember, We will find what we seek.

Even when it seems impossible! There is always someone with more trials than you.
“To be honest, true, chaste and benevolent”

In Paul’s day “their technology was spreading in a similar way to our internet.”
Though it was on horse, or boat or foot ….never before was there such a system to transport mail in an organized fashion, to places in the world

as there was in Paul’s time. Of course we have the fullness of times now, and we should "spread the gospel at our fingertips" Like President Uchtdorf has asked us too!

Paul who was Saul, used to persecute the “followers of Christ,” then he was put in prison after he changed for the same thing he accused others of. How ironic.

Paul organized the “wards and branches and stakes” if you will….and he wanted to send letters to them to continue to spread the gospel.
Paul sent “epistles” ….we can also send epistles…. “Modern day epistles”
Through our finger tips as Pres. Uchtdorf has told us. We can spread the gospel as Paul did…through blogs (hence this one) through the internet and social media

We asked you to get on here and share what you have learned, your testimonies, your fun with those who believe the same ….what are you doing with your time?
Are you spending your “minutes” doing things to get others to “follow your examples?”

We let you watch ways members have been sharing the gospel on the bus rides…people who you wouldn’t expect to be believers but they weren’t embarrassed to share what they know…
Like Mormon.org and Mormon messages. You can create a profile when you are 18 and then share what you “believe” with others. Until then watch them and link them to your social media sites. Share the gospel with the world!
